MSDVD is a DVD project file and stores data in XML format; MSDVD format is used by Microsoft Windows DVD Maker software. The software that supported this type of file was available only for two Windows platforms: Vista (Ultimate and Home Premium) and Windows 7.

MSDVD files allow users to view contents of DVD as slide show and navigate them using the menu. MSDVD file contains tags that define the the disc’s media content, DVD sections, buttons, titles, and descriptions.
