File with a .MST extension contains untypical options and settings for packages of Microsoft Windows system installer. It is utilised along with MSI files during installation of software into system. The settings can be included within the package.
The msiexec.EXE system component enables use of MST files with command: msiexec package.MSI TRANSFORMS=transforms.MST. Such files can be configured with the Microsoft Orca Editor programming software – Orca.EXE, in order to perform installation and software testing.
