MVP files store project data for Movie Edit Pro, a movie editing software developed by MAGIX. In order to open a MVP file, user must obtain a software license for Movie Edit Pro and install the software.

MVP files cannot be converted to other formats. MVP files store such data as information about scenes, tracks, visual effects, and timeline. The data is only usable in Movie Edit Pro. Files with MVP extension don’t store any actual video data.
