OV2 file format is used by TomTom navigation devices to store map data. OV2 files contains POI (Point of interest) database information.

Such database can easily be created manually using dedicated software and then used on TomTom device. A CSV format database, for example, can be converted into a OV2 file. OV2 files can be saved along with corresponding BMP image that provides a graphical representation of given location.
