File with a .RVL extension contains a project of a movie, which consists of photographs, videos, music, transition effects, animations or backgrounds; stored in a text format which is based on XML. It does not contain utilised data but only the references to them, which in case of a need of co-sharing a projects forces to share it separately as graphic-music sources.

RVL files are created in the muvee Reveal X software, which is used to create home presentations in form of videos. Ready project can be saved in different video formats - AVI, MP4, MPG, MOV, WMV. Movies can be also shared on portals such as Facebook or YouTube, or exported onto DVDs or mobile devices.
