Files with the .SRF extension contain raw images captured by the sensor of a Sony digital camera, such as the DSC-F828 model.

The image data is saved without any compression, and, as such, in a non-lossy format. SRF files can be read only by the software that supports it. They allow the user to “generate” the photo, namely to regulate its parameters, such as white balance, color exposure, and hue.
