ADMX is a group policy template file developed by Microsoft. The file stores information settings for user accounts and privileges used resource access policy management.

Windows Server uses such policies to manage user accounts and computer groups permissions. Local groups permissions for single workstations can be managed using gpedit.msc service. GPMC console is used for managing group policies.
