PFA is a file format that is used to store fonts from an ASCII file that were created using the PostScript description language. The PFA file itself is also a text file containing code that contains the mathematical definition of the outline of each character in the font.
PFA files are supported by Adobe Type Manager. The most common location for these files on your system is the Fonts directory.
