WDGT is an extension of files specific to Apple macOS and OS X Unix operating systems. WDGT is a file used to store widgets organized by the Dashboard tool. This solution allowed the user to quickly access the most frequently used widgets, such as a calculator, clock or calendar (they can be transferred to the desktop). From a technical point of view, WGDT files are saved as a ZIP archive for e.g. images, HTML documents and other programming files.

Recently (2019), Apple has not added Dashboard to its systems.
