Files with the .XXX extension contain stich patterns – including its color, letters, project templates, density, and size, saved in a format unique to sewing and embroidery machines manufactured by Compucon.

The files are created in Compucon’s Embroidery Operating System, or EOS for short, which is used for designing embroidery and patterns for Compucon machines. Files in this format can be loaded directly onto the sewing machine, as well as converted into file types used by the machines of other manufacturers. The XXX extension is sometimes also used as a replacement for files with an unknown extension.
