File with an .ALP extension contains an audio data package which can be installed in the Ableton Live software, such as sound samples, default settings or ALS files sets. It expands possibilities of a DJ while creating electronic music mixes.

Software utilising ALP files is used for purpose of electronic mixing of music in macOS and Windows, both during live performance and while composing and recording. ALP package installation can be performed by double-clicking on a PC with installed software.
