AB is a backup file format commonly found on mobile devices running Google Android. AB files are generated by command line tool called Google Android Debug Bridge.
In order to create a AB backup file, user must connect a smartphone or tablet to a computer using an USB cable and run "adb backup -apk -all" from the command line. This command will create system backup and copy all the files from the attached device.
