File with an ACS extension contains an animated character – an assistant created with Microsoft Agent. It cooperates with a user of Windows application (up to Windows 7, in which it is no longer available) with speech recognition technology or by changing text into speech.

ACS files were used in different applications and web sites. Its creation on editing is based on the VBA and VBScript web site environment. Microsoft has officially withdrawn supporting this technology in the year 2009.
