Alt file extension is used for files that contain professional 3D visualizations created with Artlantis software. ALT file are closely related with AOF files, which hold data for 3D objects used in projects created using above-mentioned software. High-resolution 3D images stored in ALT files enable users to created high-fidelity visualizations of interiors, building, and other architectural objects.
Solutions described here are used mostly by architects and designers. Other 3D modeling and designing applications, for example, SketchUp or ArchiCad, offer support for ALT files.
