File with a .DSC extension contains a set of information on photos taken by a Nikon digital camera, stored on a drive, usually an SD card. Usually it is a hidden file of a small volume.

DSC files are used only by Nikon cameras, they should not be modified by the user. They do not contain image data. The DSC name is common to photography files created by digital cameras, however, it is a beginning of a name of a file with a different filename extension – for instance – JPG.
