EPI extension is characteristic for files storing images in the form of vector graphics described with the use of PostScript language. Defining vector graphics like this was developed by Adobe. EPIs are files that can store text and graphics, but these items are limited to one page.

EPI files can be easily embedded in other documents. They contain additional information allowing for a quick preview of the graphics they contain.
