File with a .VCR extension contains a video depicting an image captured on a computer, stored in a proprietary format. It is recorded with an ATI graphic processor and dedicated ATI Multimedia Centre software.

Within VCR files there are usually recordings of PC games or of captured TV image. They can be converted into MPEG2 format with ATI Multimedia Centre software, which is usually attached to a newly bought graphic processor.
