VGZ is an extension of files used to store compressed video, which are most often used by CCTV and monitoring devices. VGZ files are generated based on the H.264 encoding standard.

The VGZ format is most often associated with Digital VDO cameras, and to play it, use the VGPlayer program. Currently, this format is rare and considered obsolete.
